AMRITSAR: Education Minister Upinderjit Kaur on Thursday inaugurated an Adarsh school at Chogawan.
Bharti Foundation that has set up the school in partnership with the state government announced to start six more school for underprivileged children. Free education with focus on English and computer-based learning would be offered in these schools.
There are plans to impart vocational skills to students in future to make them employ able. The schools will follow the CBSE Curriculum and have facilities like computers, laboratories, libraries, innovative teaching aids, sports facilities and teacher training facilities.
Rakesh Bharti Mittal, vice chairman, Bharti Enterprises, was also present on the occasion.
