BATALA: Three members of a family, including two women, were killed and one seriously injured when the car in which they were traveling rammed into a tree near Tugalwal village under the Sri Hargobindpur police station on Monday.
Gurbachan Kaur (80), along with her son Sheetal Singh, daughter-in-law Sheetal Kaur and grandson Baljinder Singh, all residents of Got Bhattian village, were going to Bebowal to attend some marriage ceremony.
But as they approached Tugalwal village, Baljinder Singh, who was driving the car, lost control. Gurbachan Singh, Sheetal Singh and Sheetal Kaur died on the spot. Baljinder was admitted to hospital in a serious condition. The bodies have been sent to Civil Hospital for post-mortem.
