BATHINDA: Member of Parliament (MP) Harsimrat Kaur Badal has said the Congress was deliberately keeping the prime minister out of the Lokpal’s ambit to save the ‘PM-in-waiting’ Rahul Gandhi from future prosecution.
Harsimrat added that the Congress-led UPA government was using the honesty of Manmohan Singh as a shield to protect the interests of Congress president Sonia Gandhi and 10 Janpath. She said that the Congress was using the CBI to arm-twist its political opponents and to keep the CHI in its control it wanted a toothless Lokpal.
