CHANDIGARH: The Minimum temperatures in Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh recorded drop by up to 4 c below normal at some places on Monday, renewing cold conditions in the region.
In the plains of Punjab and Haryana, Karnal was coldest with a low of 4.6 c, which was four notches below normal.
While Ambala settled at a low 5.3 c , four notches below normal, the minimum temperature at Ludhiana was 6.8 C, two below normal.
Among the other places, Patiala shivered at a low of 7.1 c followed by 7.6 c at Chandigarh.
Narnaul recorded a minimum of 8.5 deg C, while Amritsar had 8.6 deg C.
The Met Forecast partly cloudy sky with possibility of thunderstorm in some parts of the region during the next few days.
