JALANDHAR: Sant Jaswant Singh Hospital will start a charitable cancer hospital at Dakoha village near here on Wednesday.
The hospital will be equipped with the latest equipment to treat cancer patients and will be operated in association with Asian Hospital, Faridabad.
The hospital will get support from the regional cancer centre, set up under the National Cancer Control Programme, at PGIMS, Rohtak, hospital managing director Puneet Pal Singh Gill said here on Monday.
Dr Gill said the hospital would provide treatment to the needy at nominal rates. “In view of the rise in number of cancer patients and the inability of many to afford treatment, the chief of the Nirmal Takhat Baba Budha Saheb Charitable Trust, Dakoha, Baba Bhagwant Bhajan Singh decided to start a charitable hospital,” he said.
The hospital would be formally inaugurated by organizing a free cancer awareness camp on Wednesday.

The hospital location I am not sure about, but you can go to the Gurudowara Sahib located in Jalandhar Shauni 1 km to the est side of GT Road. We used to travel from Phagwara side and it is before you enter into city.
