ROHTAK: Dalbir Thekedar, the sarpanch of Naya Baans village in Sampla sub-division here, was shot dead by four assailants on Sunday night. He died on the way to a hospital.
The four men barged into his office and shot him.
The police said his family suspected the role of a former sarpanch, with whom he had enmity during the panchayat elections.
