SANGRUR: Three of a migrant family, including a child, were killed and two children were injured seriously after a roof collapse in Bassiarkh village near Bhawanigarh on Monday night. Their daughter Kunti Rani and son Garish Kumar are in hospital. The family, hailing from Bareilly district in UP, were tenants in an old house belonging to Sukhpal Kaur, a widow. The dilapidated building gave way after the recent incessant rains. Angan Lal, his wife Kamla Rani and daughter Pinky were buried alive. Villagers Randhir Singh and Balkar Singh said they were collecting monetary aid for the treatment of children.
