TARN TARAN: To assess the damage done to crops by heavy rains and hailstorms, deputy commissioner Satwant Singh Johal made a tour of the villages around here. Issuing orders to all the patwaris in the district, he demanded them to submit a report within the next two days.
“The report would be sent to the state government for their consideration,” added Johal. He added that loss to the farmers would be compensated on the basis of state government norms.
